Our younger students at Holy Cross Catholic School enjoyed a special visit from the New Franken Fire Department! It was a morning filled with excitement, hands-on learning, and an opportunity to meet some of the everyday heroes who help keep our community safe.
Students had the chance to get an up-close look at several fire trucks, exploring the equipment and learning more about the important tools firefighters use when responding to emergencies. One of the highlights of the visit was getting to use a real fire hose!
The firefighters also demonstrated their protective gear and equipment, helping students better understand what firefighters wear and why each piece is important for their safety. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to become familiar with how firefighters look and sound when dressed in their gear.
Experiences like these bring learning to life and help our students develop a greater appreciation for the people who serve and protect our community.
A big THANK YOU to the New Franken Fire Department for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit Holy Cross! We are grateful for your dedication to keeping our community safe and for making fire safety education such a fun and memorable experience for our students!
