A Special Storytime in Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten class had an extra-special visitor this week! One of our students’ grandmas joined us to read A Coat of Many Colors by Dolly Parton — a story full of warmth, gratitude, and the reminder that the most meaningful gifts come from the heart.

To make the moment even more memorable, she surprised her granddaughter with a handmade “coat of many colors,” just like the one in the book. The children were captivated as they listened, learned, and watched the story come to life right in front of them.

The book’s beautiful message about love, appreciation, and finding pride in what you have filled our classroom with smiles. It was a wonderful reminder of the power of simple acts of kindness and the joy that comes from sharing stories together.
