At Holy Cross School, we’re proud to launch our BOLT (Builders of Outstanding Leadership & Tradition) program — a monthly celebration of character and purpose. Each month, we introduce a new virtue and invite students to live out its meaning in their daily lives.
🛠️ How It Works
- At the beginning of each month, we announce the month’s focus virtue — such as diligence, kindness, integrity, respect, or courage.
- Throughout the month, students are encouraged to embody that virtue in their actions: in class, during recess, in the hallways, and beyond.
- Teachers watch for students who consistently demonstrate the virtue, and then nominate those individuals.
- At month’s end, our BOLT recipients are recognized — shining examples of leadership and tradition in our school community.

- Character formation: By focusing on one virtue at a time, students build strong moral habits that last a lifetime.
- Leadership through example: Being a BOLT winner isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being intentionally good, helping others, and living our school values.
- Community culture: When we all aim for the same virtues, our school becomes a place of respect, service, and kindness.
- Tradition of excellence: Over time, the BOLT program becomes part of our school’s identity — students, families, and teachers remember what it means to be a Builder of Outstanding Leadership & Tradition.
📅 Looking Ahead
Next month’s virtue is Piety — encouraging students to grow in reverence, devotion, and respect for God and others. We’re excited to see how our students embrace this virtue and continue building a community rooted in faith and leadership.

Holy Cross Catholic School is part of the Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) School System. It is a private Catholic school serving Preschool and Elementary through 8th grade (PK3-8). The school has open enrollment and is located on the Northeast side of Green Bay near the Town of Scott and is near the Red Smith neighborhood and Wequiock Falls.
