Our middle school band students recently returned from an exciting overnight field trip to Minnesota, and the experience was nothing short of inspiring!
Led by our dedicated band teacher, Mr. Kozlovsky, the trip provided a perfect blend of musical growth, cultural enrichment, and well-deserved fun. The adventure began with a stop at Somerset Middle School, where our students participated in a collaborative band clinic. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect with other young musicians, receive constructive feedback, and perform in a new setting.
From there, the group headed to Minneapolis, where they attended a breathtaking performance by the Minnesota Orchestra. Sitting in the concert hall, surrounded by world-class musicians, our students got a glimpse of the musical excellence that can come from years of dedication and practice. The experience was not only enjoyable but deeply motivating for these aspiring performers.
Of course, no trip to Minneapolis is complete without a visit to the Mall of America! Students enjoyed a few hours of rides, shopping, and bonding time—a fun way to wrap up a trip filled with learning and laughter.
This trip was a powerful reminder that learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Whether they were taking notes during the orchestra performance or laughing together on a roller coaster, our students came home with new memories, new friendships, and a renewed passion for music.
