About Me

Hello! My name is Marcianne Hansen and I'm originally from northeastern North Dakota...just a stone's throw from Canada. My father's name was Stanley Stanislowski and our family attended St. Stanislaus Catholic church in Warsaw, ND, so for many years I thought our family owned the church. I sang in the choir from grade three on. Even now, when I go home, I'm welcome to come and sing in the choir.

I attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Theatre direction, Music and Art. I played and continue to play the clarinet in my husband, Jae's and my show which we have been performing since 1981. We've traveled all over the world doing it.

I started subbing at Holy Cross Catholic School for Music back in 2005. I also got started doing After School Care not long after that. At present I'm our After School Care Coordinator.

My favorite saint is Theresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein). She prided herself on being a phenomenologist and philosopher. She was trying to find the meaning of life and couldn't find it in those disciplines. When she started reading "The Church Fathers" it all made sense to her. She became a Catholic, then a professed religious. She died at the hands of the Nazis in WWII.
