About Me
Hello! My name is Mrs. Sheehy, and I am blessed to serve as the middle school ELA and social studies teacher, as well as the 8th-grade homeroom teacher at Holy Cross. Though I hold my students to high standards, I always strive to build strong connections with them, creating a classroom where learning is meaningful, engaging, and fun.
I was born and raised in Sturgeon Bay, studied in Eau Claire, and eventually found my way back home. These days I stay busy with my husband, our daughter Iyla, and our two French Bulldogs. We fill our time with family, friends, and as much fun as possible.
I especially love teaching ELA and social studies because they allow students to explore stories—both fictional and historical—that spark creativity, build critical thinking, and help them see the world in new ways. Guiding students as they make connections between literature, history, and their own lives is one of my greatest joys as a teacher.
Outside of school, I love getting lost in a good book—especially the Harry Potter series—and rewatching the movies. I also have a special love for Christmas, and I’m known to start playing Christmas music long before December!
What I love most about Holy Cross is the feeling of family and faith that fills our halls each day. I am so grateful to be a part of this community, walking alongside students and families as we grow in knowledge, faith, and joy together.
