Celebrating Faith, Community, and Fun: Catholic Schools Week at Holy Cross

Last week, Holy Cross Catholic School proudly celebrated Catholic Schools Week—a joyful time to recognize the incredible value of Catholic education and the vibrant community that makes our school so special. Each day was filled with opportunities to celebrate our faith, our students, our staff, and the many blessings we share.

Students kicked off the week showing off their creativity with themed dress days, bringing smiles and laughter to the halls. From favorite foods to neon colors and dressing like their future selves, our Thunderbolts embraced the fun while showing plenty of personality along the way.

Catholic Schools Week is also about service and leadership, and our students rose to the occasion. Through activities like the Trike-a-Thon benefiting Paul’s Pantry, students learned firsthand the importance of giving back and living out our Catholic values. Thanks to their generosity—and the support of our families and community—we were able to turn fun into meaningful impact.

Special events throughout the week gave students time to connect with one another in new ways. Highlights included the Glow Dance/Silent Disco, which remains a student favorite, and the Power Up Thunderbolts family event at Player 2 Arcade, where families came together for a day of games and fellowship. Our middle school students also enjoyed spirited activities, including an intense game of dodgeball that even welcomed a special guest—Deacon Darrell.

Above all, Catholic Schools Week reminded us what makes Holy Cross such a special place: a strong foundation of faith, a commitment to academic excellence, and a community that supports and celebrates one another. Thank you to our students, staff, parents, and volunteers who helped make the week such a success.

We are proud to be Holy Cross Thunderbolts—last week and every week.
