PowerSchool allows parents to
- Access real-time student performance data
- Track assignments and attendance
- View Attendance records
- Monitor Power Lunch balance and transactions
PowerSchool is a secure web-based Student Information System (SIS) that provides real-time information for parents and students using the Internet.
You may also want to check out the email functions which are marked with a little envelope icon. By checking a few boxes and typing in your email address, PowerSchool will send emails to you with everything from your child’s progress reports to a reminder when your child’s lunch balance gets low. It should be noted however that these emails do not contain any information that cannot be accessed simply by logging into PowerSchool. If you choose to utilize this feature, it would be a good idea to add PowerSchool’s address – powerschool@gbdioc.org– to your address book. Because these emails are auto-generated, some spam filters will assume they are “junk mail” and not allow them to reach your inbox.

How do I get a login for PowerSchool?
If you are new to GRACE, you will need your child’s Access ID and Access Password. This is normally sent near the beginning of each school year.
If you have already set up an account from previous years, your account is still active. Just log in with your username and password.
Does the school setup my PowerSchool Parent Portal Account?
No, you set up your own account. Click on the following link: https://gbdioc.powerschool.com/ You will need to click on the Create Account tab. Be sure you have your student’s Access ID and Access Password before you start.
What do I do if I forgot my PowerSchool Parent Portal login user name or password?
On the PowerSchool Parent Portal page is a link called “Forgot Username or Password?” It will step you through the process of requesting your account information. The information will be sent to the email you linked to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
Do I have to have a separate account for each of my children?
No! You can have one account with all of your children attached. You just need the Access ID and Access Password for each child.
Can both parents have a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account with different usernames and passwords?
Yes! Both parents can have their own separate parent portal account. You can also allow access for other guardians as well. Perhaps they are staying with their grandmother for a time; you can allow her to setup her own account as well. Just give them the student Access ID and Access Password.
Will the PowerSchool Parent Portal be up all year?
In the event that we do an upgrade to the system, we may take it down temporarily. It will also be inaccessible during the summer when we are updating information and scheduling for the upcoming year.
How quickly will students’ grades and attendance be available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal?
Even though I can see my child’s grades online, will students still receive mid-term and report card grades?

Contact your child’s individual teacher with specific grading questions.
How often will my student’s grades be updated?
