Go Light Your World!

We began our school year with the theme of sharing our light, the light of Christ, lighting another person’s candle and lighting our world by our kindness and good deeds!  We will continue to focus on this through our school year and to encourage our students, faculty, staff, and our families, to continue to reach out to those in need, to be kind to others, and to simply go make a positive difference in the life of another and in our world.  I have seen and heard of many wonderful kind words and deeds these first weeks of school. 

Please take some time to discuss this at home, as a family.  Ask your child:  “Did you share your light today?”  “Did you go out of your way to light someone’s candle today by doing a good deed; saying a kind word?”  Did you sit with someone at lunch who was lonely or sad?”  Did you invite someone to join your game or activity at recess?”  These little reminders can make a big difference!  Thank you for sharing your light with your children today!
